Job Summary
Lead Frontend Engineer role owning Cheiron's frontend, bridging Product, Design, and Engineering, and performing hands-on core frontend work in React, TypeScript, and Tailwind. Focus on delivering fast, trustworthy AI agent UX with streaming responses, source and citation display, and multi-step progress states. Influence frontend architecture, design system, and coding conventions, while mentoring others and ensuring pixel-perfect, accessible UI from designer specs through production. Collaborate across the US, Korea, and beyond in a seed-stage startup environment.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of frontend experience with React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, and modern JavaScript
- Frontend ownership: you've personally raised the quality and standards of a product's frontend and reviewed and guided other engineers' frontend work, including full-stack engineers
- Experience integrating AI/LLM products on the frontend: streaming, non-deterministic results, long-running execution, and citation display
- English proficiency across docs, conversation, and code review (daily collaboration with a multi-region team)
