Job Summary
Lead frontend development for our AI knowledge platform using React and TypeScript, owning design and implementation of intuitive, responsive UIs that impact thousands of users daily. Translate user needs into features from concept through release, building rich web interfaces and Chrome extensions while conducting peer code reviews to ensure high-quality, performant code. Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to integrate APIs seamlessly and influence overall architecture. Continuously improve frontend tooling and developer experience, experimenting with AI coding agents to automate tasks and push velocity forward. Mentor junior developers by sharing knowledge and fostering an environment focused on shipping great code.
Required Qualifications

- Expertise in React & TypeScript
- 5+ years or equivalent skill building modern web applications with React
- Fluency in TypeScript
- Deep understanding of state management (hooks, context, etc.), component design, and performance optimization
- Ability to quickly diagnose and fix issues across the stack
- Comfort with browser dev tools, performance profiling, and resolving tricky asynchronous bugs or memory leaks in a complex SPA
- Proficiency with modern development tools (Git, CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks)
- Currently in Berlin or willing to relocate
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Node.js, REST/GraphQL APIs, or cloud infrastructure
- Experience using or being excited to use AI-based dev tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot or Cursor)
- Having side projects, open-source contributions, or interests across software
