Job Summary
Senior FPGA Engineer (Cambridge, MA) HYBRID role focusing on digital FPGA development and validation. Direct experience with embedded FPGA design required. Responsibilities include contributing to FPGA development with emphasis on validation and test/support, with preference for knowledge of sensor control, filter design, and hardware-implemented algorithms. Tools and skills include SystemVerilog/VHDL, Xilinx Vivado, UVM environments, Git, debugging with ILAs and lab equipment, and SWaP-aware design. Strong problem-solving abilities and on-site presence 4 days/week initially. Preferred qualifications include MSEE, Linux scripting, sensors-in-the-loop, control theory, CI/CD, Matlab/Simulink, PCB collaboration, and active US secret/TS clearance. Security clearance required; current in-scope Secret/Top Secret strongly preferred.
Required Qualifications
- BSEE with 6 years of relevant experience
- Fluent in SystemVerilog/VHDL
- Experience with Xilinx Vivado design tools
- Implementation of fixed-point arithmetic, filter design, algorithm design, and other DSP functions
- Ability to debug designs simulated in a UVM environment
- Experience with git and other version control systems
- Experience with design closure including timing, power, and area for SWaP-constrained designs
- Strong lab-debugging experience, including use of Xilinx integrated logic analyzers (ILAs) and experience with oscilloscopes, digital multi-meters, and logic analyzers
- Strong analysis and problem-solving skills
- Required to be on-site at least 4 days/week initially
