Job Summary
Develop FPGA projects using Intel Quartus and Xilinx Vivado, designing modules for high-speed data acquisition, transmission, and real-time processing with HDL. Integrate FPGA infrastructure for peripheral communication via SPI, UART, and I2C, while developing embedded software in C/C++ and Linux. Maintain the existing codebase and support high-speed ADC/DAC data fetching and streaming. This role requires a BSc/MSc in Electrical Engineering with five years of FPGA experience and proficiency in VHDL, Verilog, and SystemVerilog. Based in Pfäffikon SZ, Switzerland, you will join a Swiss deep tech team building custom semiconductor microchips for biomedical discovery.
Required Qualifications
- BSc/MSc in Electrical Engineering or similar
- 5 Years or more of experience in FPGA development and HDL coding
- FPGA development tools such as Intel Quartus or Xilinx Vivado
- FPGA timing constraints with Synopsys Design Constraints (.sdc)
- Knowledge of embedded systems/systems on chip
- Commitment to high coding and design standards and best practices
- Basic understanding of electronics
- Fluency in English
- Initiative and independence
Desired Qualifications
- PhD in Electrical Engineering or similar
- Project/people management skills
- Proficiency with VHDL-2008, OSVVM, UVVM, VUnit
- Proficiency in embedded software programming C/C++
- Knowledge of the Linux operating system for embedded devices
- Proficiency in Python programming
- Background in signal processing
