Job Summary
As a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer, you will lead the modernization of client data ecosystems using the Snowflake AI Data Cloud, focusing on Spark and Data Engineering workloads. Responsibilities include designing and deploying software systems, implementing scalable data pipelines, optimizing performance, and providing expert guidance to client teams. Proficiency in programming languages, Spark, and an understanding of data modeling are essential, complemented by strong problem-solving skills. This senior-level role can involve travel to collaborate with clients.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
- Proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Python, Go, Java or C++
- Proficiency in Spark ecosystem
- Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing & data lake concepts, and cloud data platforms
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a client-facing environment
Desired Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases and data integration technologies
- Experience with developing AI/ML applications
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience implementing solutions on the Snowflake Data Cloud
