Job Summary
Drive the airline's revenue forecasting and budgeting processes by coordinating effective procedures and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize capacity and enhance forecasting accuracy. Lead the design of revenue forecasting procedures, develop projections by analyzing forward bookings, and build long-term route-level forecasts using regression models. Manage the revenue budgeting process, cooperate with the Network team on capacity scenarios, and work with Data Science and Pricing & Revenue Management to improve model accuracy. Lead and oversee a team of three Revenue Forecasting Managers, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. Based in Budapest, this role requires 5-7+ years of experience with 3+ years in forecasting and 2+ years in people leadership.
Required Qualifications
- 5-7+ years working experience
- 3+ years of experience in forecasting and modeling
- 2+ years of people leadership
- Outstanding analytical skills
- Experience in working with and interpreting data and analytics
- Proficient in MS Excel/PowerPoint
- Bachelor's or Master's degree
- Fluent in English (both spoken and written)
- Structured thinking, ability to break down complex problems and explain them clearly
- Strong presentation skills
- Comfortable with uncertain and rapidly changing business environment
- Ability to work under pressure
- Proactive, willing to take initiative and shoulder responsibility
- Able to lead and energize the team
- Good understanding of core economic concepts and principles
- Strong commercial acumen
Desired Qualifications
- Additional technical skills a plus: VBA, PowerBI, SQL, Python
- Advanced applied mathematics is a plus
- Desire to learn more about the low-cost airline and travel industry as well as to develop analytical and managerial skills
