Job Summary
Senior Food Service Worker responsibilities include planning daily food production for assigned areas, preparing all food items according to standardized recipes, and providing customer service in retail dining areas. The role involves cashiering and POS operations, maintaining clean and stocked stations, and supporting catering or special events as needed. Requires food production knowledge, ability to follow recipes and adjust quantities, strong customer service, and the ability to work with limited supervision. Shifts may include day, evening, and overnight times with weekend and holiday rotations; additional compensation includes a $1/hour weekend shift differential and up to 18% night shift differential when applicable.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent
- two or more years of similar work experience in production cooking
- knowledge of food handling regulations and ability to pass certification tests
- ability to calculate and count change rapidly
- effective interpersonal communication skills
- friendly customer service attitude
- ability to function autonomously and exercise good judgment
- food handlers' card within 30 days of hire (required for Banner Health employment)
