Job Summary
Senior Plant FSQA Manager leads food safety and quality programs at a high-volume facility, driving USDA/FDA compliance, HACCP and SSOP initiatives, root-cause investigations, sanitation programs, and SQF system management. The role requires mentoring and developing an FSQA team, partnering with plant and corporate leadership to align on strategy, and traveling up to 10%. The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years in the food industry, 2+ years of team leadership, hands-on microbiological testing experience, and strong knowledge of USDA/FSIS requirements, HACCP, and related quality systems. Relocation package is available.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university
- 8+ years’ experience in the food industry
- 2+ years of demonstrated experience in team management/development or project leadership
- Ability to read and write in English
Desired Qualifications
- USDA/HACCP Certification
- SQF Certified Expert
- Knowledge of quality assurance principles, food science and meat processing, SPC and statistics
- Bilingual skills are a valuable asset
