Job Summary
Senior Flood Risk Consultant role leading and coordinating flood modelling studies and flood risk assessments; responsible for junior team development and quality assurance, reviewing hydraulic models, contributing to proposals and bids, and managing project components and resources. Requires a degree in a relevant analytical subject, chartership with CIWEM or ICE (or close to achieving), and hands-on experience with fluvial flood modelling tools (TUFLOW/ESTRY/Flood Modeller); strong knowledge of UK flood risk policy (NPPF, TAN15) and ability to contribute to environmental statements and catchment-modelling projects.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in an appropriate analytical subject (Civil Engineering, Geology, Geography, Environmental Science, Water Resources, Engineering Hydrology)
- Chartered status or close to achieving chartership with CIWEM or ICE
- Experience with fluvial flood modelling using TUFLOW, ESTRY, Flood Modeller
- Ability to supervise Flood Risk Assessments and knowledge of UK flood risk policy (NPPF and TAN15)
- Desirable: Environmental Impact Assessments, Environmental Statements, hydrological studies using UK methodologies, Integrated Catchment Modelling, SuDS
