Job Summary
As a Senior Flight Dynamics Engineer, you will define and review flight dynamics requirements, interface with contractor teams, and participate in the design of the Flight Dynamics architecture. This role involves developing mathematically intensive software, supporting spacecraft operations, evaluating spacecraft manoeuvres, and participating in mission analyses. You will need a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 5 years of space flight dynamics experience, along with strong knowledge of orbital mechanics and flight dynamics. Proficiency in MATLAB and English communication is also required.
Required Qualifications
- University degree in aeronautics, computer science, software engineering, mathematics or relevant science discipline
- 5 years commercial Space flight dynamics experience
- Excellent knowledge of orbital mechanics & flight dynamics
- Experience in using simulation software MATLAB or similar
- Experience with Mission Analysis & requirements definition
- Fluent in spoken and written English language
- Work in a team as well as independently
Desired Qualifications
- Security Cleared (Highly desirable)
- Masters or Doctorate in relevant field
- Experience in flight dynamics operations & agile methodology
- Experience using C++, Python, and scripting & basic knowledge of Linux
- Experience in regression testing and version control
- Education or experience in Guidance, Navigation and Control
- Education or experience in image processing and object reconstruction methods
- Familiarity in Flight Dynamics design architecture
