Job Summary
Senior-level, hands-on Fleet Operations Technician responsible for reviewing invoices for technical standards and cost savings opportunities, loading/unloading equipment, performing repairs, and remarketing preparation. Supports equipment lifecycle across multiple OEM brands, with emphasis on mechanical/repair excellence, safety, data accuracy in the fleet system, and collaboration with internal/external teams to address repair trends and cost drivers. Requires 5+ years of mechanical experience, ability to operate forklifts/heavy equipment, experience with fleet software, and forklift/trade certifications. Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in a warehouse/shop environment.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on mechanical experience with industrial, construction, or material handling equipment
- Demonstrated ability to work across multiple OEM brands and equipment types
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting repair orders, maintenance records, and technical documentation
- Ability to operate forklifts, heavy equipment, and related material handling tools safely
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry and fleet system navigation
- Forklift certification and/or relevant trade certifications (ASE, OSHA 10/30, etc.)
- Knowledge of cost analysis and maintenance cost benchmarking
