Job Summary
Diagnose and repair fleet vehicle chassis, specialized back-end tank systems, tractors, forklifts, and small engines while maintaining service and repair records. Execute preventative maintenance programs, manage parts inventory, and document all repairs in an electronic maintenance management system. Arrange and follow up on outsourced maintenance performed by vendors and local service providers. This role requires a high school diploma or GED, five years of automotive mechanic experience, and ASE Certification. Candidates must possess strong computer skills, mathematical abilities, and the ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedure manuals.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 5 years automotive mechanic experience
- ASE Certification
- successful completion of an Automotive Technology Program from a certified school
- valid drivers license
- Ability to speak, read and write fluently in English
- Ability to lift or move up to 50 lbs
- Stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
