Job Summary
Own device firmware end to end in C/C++ on ESP32, managing connectivity, provisioning, call behavior, and on-device audio. Deliver safe, phased over-the-air updates with monitoring and recovery for the entire fleet. Improve real-call quality by tuning echo cancellation, jitter buffers, and codecs. Chase field issues like Wi-Fi drops and mesh quirks to root cause and resolve. Instrument the fleet to track reachability, connection success, and audio performance. Set firmware direction and coordinate hardware work, partnering with voice and IoT engineers to ship next-gen devices.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years building and shipping firmware for connected devices
