Senior Fire Sprinkler Technician

Job Summary
Oversee on-site installation and maintenance of commercial and industrial fire sprinkler systems by inspecting, testing, and servicing equipment in accordance with applicable codes and safety protocols. Coordinate daily field activities with Project Managers, process service paperwork accurately, and update information within the company software system. Handle both regular and after-hours emergency service jobs, including on-call rotations, while traveling throughout New Jersey to project locations. Requires valid driver's license, proficiency with mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic tools, and strong communication skills to work effectively with inspectors and other trades.
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience, minimum 2 years, in Water-Based Systems Layout, with demonstrated experience in field installation and coordination on commercial or industrial sprinkler projects
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to be proactive in communicating and working with other departments
- Valid driver's license and excellent driving record
- Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen
- Must be willing to travel throughout NJ as required to project field locations
- Excellent customer service skills
- Must be competent with all work-related power tools
- Excellent work ethic
- Comply with unform policy
- Language: English
Desired Qualifications
- Strong understanding of NFPA 13 and related codes
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents and sprinkler system plans
- Experience coordinating with project managers, inspectors, and other trades on active job sites
- OSHA 30 Certification or equivalent safety training
- Ability to work in a team or on their own
