Job Summary
Senior Fire Protection Engineer responsible for active involvement in all phases of fire protection project design and delivery from concept through construction and commissioning; design and implement fire hydrant and hose reel systems, automatic fire sprinkler systems, alternative fire suppression systems, gas suppression, fire detection, evacuation; ensure compliance with NCC, Australian Standards, and local authority regulations; mentor junior engineers and drive technical excellence across projects; collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams on large-scale projects across diverse sectors.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in engineering or equivalent professional registration (RPEQ or eligible)
- 5+ years experience as a Fire Protection Engineer
- Understanding of Fire Suppression Systems & Design, Firefighting systems including Fire Hydrants, Hose Reels, Portable Fire Equipment and fire water supply infrastructure
- Understanding of Fire Detection & Alarm Systems & Design, Emergency Warning & Intercom Systems and High-Level Networking Infrastructure
- Track record in engineering design and consulting on medium to large scale projects
- Exposure to industry standard software such as Hyena and Revizto with exposure to Revit (preferred)
- Australian Citizenship is highly preferred
