Senior Fire & Life Safety Engineer

Job Summary
Senior technical contributor and discipline lead for fire and life safety systems on large, complex projects (including hyperscale data centers and semiconductor manufacturing facilities). Focused on integrated life safety and emergency communication systems (networked fire alarm and signaling, EVACS/ECS, air-sampling smoke detection such as VESDA, in-building public safety communications, and toxic gas monitoring). Responsibilities include defining scope, technical requirements, cost estimates, leading architecture/design development and integration, and resolving complex code issues; ensuring system survivability and coordination with electrical, mechanical, architectural, security, ICT, and building automation systems; interfacing with clients and AHJs, and mentoring life safety engineers. Requires a bachelor's degree with 10-13 years of experience (14-17 years if applicable); NICET Level III strongly preferred; PE licensure a plus. Proficient in NFPA 72, NFPA 70, NFPA 101, IBC/IFC; and AHJ coordination; prior experience with hyperscale data centers, semiconductor manufacturing, EV battery manufacturing, and other high-reliability facilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) in a relevant field
- 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience in fire and life safety
- Demonstrated senior-level expertise in design, configuration, architecture, and integration of fire and life safety systems
- Experience with NFPA 72, NFPA 70, NFPA 101, IBC, IFC; AHJ coordination
- NICET Level III (or higher) preferred in Fire Alarm Systems or IB-PSC; PE licensure a plus
- Ability to mentor engineering personnel and communicate with non-technical stakeholders
- Experience with hyperscale data centers, semiconductor manufacturing, high-reliability facilities
- Strong coordination across electrical, mechanical, architectural, security, ICT, and building automation systems
- Ability to develop scope, estimates, staffing, and schedules for fire and life safety engineering scopes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Relocation authorization for national scope
- Knowledge of EDPPs/BSAPs and project design standards
