Senior Fire Investigator, IAAI-CFI

Job Summary
Conduct extensive and detailed investigations to determine origin and cause of fires and explosions, primarily involving structures in commercial buildings or residences. Investigate assigned claims suspected of insurance fraud, including large loss and multiple claims, ensuring adherence to best practices. Identify and interview witnesses, review public records, and independently conclude investigations to determine negligence and law violations. Provide expert testimony in depositions and trials, maintain confidential claims files, and offer guidance to claims leadership on resolution outcomes. Develop customer training needs based on exposure and antifraud initiatives while collaborating with government agencies and private bureaus.
Required Qualifications
- NAFI-CFEI certification
- 5 years of fire investigation experience
- Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time
- Must be able to kneel, squat or bend
- Must be able to work outdoors in hot and/or cold weather conditions
- Have the ability to climb, crawl, stoop, kneel, reaching/working overhead
- Be able lift/carry up to 50 pounds
- Be able to push/pull up to 100 pounds
- Be able to drive up to 4 hours per day
- Hearing, vision and talking
- Credit security clearance, confirmed via a background credit check
Desired Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- PC literate, including advanced Microsoft Office products
