Job Summary
Senior Fire Engineer to deliver fire engineering design solutions across residential, commercial, rail, and energy facilities within a national multi-sector practice. Manage multiple projects from inception through to delivery, ensuring compliance with fire safety standards and codes, developing fire engineering strategies, assessing fire-related risks, reviewing installations, undertaking tenders, preparing reports, and liaising with clients. The role requires flexibility across locations (Derby, London and other UK offices), ability to work within a team to develop technical capability, and a proactive approach to regulations, with potential to travel and progress toward Chartered Fire Engineer status. Required Qualifications
- Engineering degree (preferably fire engineering) or post graduate qualification in fire engineering
- Demonstrate a strong record of successfully delivering fire safety projects
- Experience with fire standards including BS9999, NFPA 130, BS9992, EN45545
- Fire modelling experience beneficial
- Able to work towards Chartered Fire Engineer status
- Willingness to travel
- Customer focused, good communication and report-writing skills
