Job Summary
Senior Fire Alarm Technician to install, program, and service commercial fire alarm and low voltage systems in accordance with project specifications, NFPA standards, and AHJ requirements; perform inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance; read blueprints and wiring diagrams; troubleshoot electrical/low voltage issues; document with reports and logs; ensure safety compliance and successful collaboration with team and customers; carry a company vehicle and operate in a safety-driven environment.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in fire alarm or low voltage systems
- ability to program and service large-scale fire alarm systems
- valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications
- strong problem-solving and communication skills
- basic computer proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders (12–24 ft)
Desired Qualifications
- NICET and/or ESA certification preferred
- 5+ years of experience in fire alarm or low voltage systems
- read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to program and service large-scale fire alarm systems
- Safety-conscious with knowledge of NFPA 72 and related codes
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders (12–24 ft)
