Job Summary
Conduct advanced troubleshooting and repair of complex fire alarm systems, including special hazards and gas detection, while independently diagnosing faults using multimeters and diagnostic equipment. Direct daily work assignments for a team of technicians, monitor project progress, and provide technical guidance to ensure timely completion and high standards of workmanship. Interface directly with customers regarding repair needs, assist sales teams in evaluating opportunities, and communicate technical findings clearly. Mentor junior technicians by sharing troubleshooting techniques and code knowledge to develop the service team's capabilities. Perform fire alarm, sprinkler, and special hazards inspections as needed, completing accurate documentation and deficiency reporting.
Required Qualifications
- NICET Level II or higher in Fire Alarm Systems
- Strong working knowledge of Notifier fire alarm systems
- Strong working knowledge of Fike gas detection and special hazards systems
- Advanced electrical troubleshooting skills
- Proficiency using multimeters and diagnostic equipment
- Proven experience performing high-level fire alarm repairs independently
- Strong leadership and team development experience
- Excellent customer-facing communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Notification Appliance Circuits (NAC)
- Voice Evacuation System experience
- Fire sprinkler troubleshooting experience
- Fire sprinkler certifications
- Experience with multiple fire alarm manufacturer platforms
