Job Summary
Prepare, analyze, and evaluate financial information for forecasts, cost pools, budgeting, and control. Monitor actual program costs against budgeted allocations to identify variances, interpret data for present and future financial performance, and perform month-end close activities. Apply strong analytical skills to reconcile accounts and utilize AI tools in an accounting environment. Requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business with at least two years of relevant experience, including knowledge of GAAP, ASC606, and internal financial practices. U.S. citizenship is required. Flexible schedules with every other Friday off; on-site location with no relocation assistance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
- U.S. citizenship
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
- Master's degree
- Clear understanding of internal financial practices in General Ledger Accounting, Rates and Compliance, and Cost Proposal, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable
- In-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), specifically ASC606
- Strong analytical skills including ability to analyze data and reconcile financial accounts
- Experience with AI tools (claude, codex, etc) in an accounting environment
- Experience with large enterprise accounting systems and analyzing large data sets using AI tools
