Job Summary
Lead and execute the monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation process across multiple entities, preparing consolidated financial statements and supporting schedules. Review and validate financial data from business units, perform detailed balance sheet reviews, and investigate variances to ensure accuracy and compliance with IFRS. Prepare complex consolidation entries, including intercompany eliminations, and support the financial close process through journal entry preparation and audit schedule development. Act as the primary contact during external audits and provide analysis of key financial drivers and variances for executive reporting. Play a key role in financial systems initiatives, including ERP implementations, while enhancing data quality and reporting efficiency using tools like Power BI. Strengthen internal controls and governance practices to support strategic initiatives and process improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or a related field
- CPA designation (completed)
- 7–10 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, consolidation or audit
- Advanced understanding of consolidation principles (intercompany eliminations, FX, multi-entity structures)
- Strong knowledge of IFRS
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – both written and verbal in French and English, and the ability to develop relationships at all levels in the organization. The position holder will be required to communicate regularly with clients, management and colleagues located outside Quebec.
Desired Qualifications
- Exposure to ERP implementations, system integrations or reporting transformation initiatives
