Job Summary
Compile quarterly 10-Qs, annual 10-Ks, and defined-benefit/contribution financial documents while managing daily and monthly General Ledger responsibilities. Partner with the Supervisor and Manager of Financial Reporting to ensure adherence to US GAAP, SEC requirements, and company policies. Collaborate with internal and external auditors for analysis and documentation, addressing complex U.S. GAAP areas including employee benefits and international/domestic accounting issues. Support lean process improvements, HFM enhancements, and ad hoc reporting on new accounting developments. Full-time role in Livonia, MI, reporting to the Manager of Financial Reporting.
Required Qualifications
- BS/BA in Accounting and/or Finance, or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of relevant work experience in accounting/finance
- Strong analytical skills with high competence in U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, multi-tasking, and communication skills
- Demonstrates professional excellence characterized by effective decision-making and a drive for results
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Self-starter with a keen attention to detail
- Effective great teammate with a proven ability to handle confidential information and interact with senior financial management
