Senior Financial Reporting Accountant

Job Summary
Lead and support the preparation of quarterly and annual external financial statements, including GAAP footnotes and multi-tier consolidations for project-level entities and corporate parents. Liaise with independent auditors, develop disclosure templates, and conduct technical accounting research on complex topics such as power purchase agreements and lease assessments. Manage the Workiva platform as a key administrator, building report templates and workflows to streamline financial disclosures. Assist operational teams with period-end reporting, implement internal controls, and monitor updated U.S. GAAP pronouncements. Report to the Corporate Accounting Manager and manage multiple priorities with competing deadlines. Hybrid schedule of three days in-office; salary $90,000-$115,000 plus bonus.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive experience in accounting, financial reporting, or a related role
- Experience documenting accounting positions under U.S. GAAP for complex or unique transactions
- Experience preparing and/or reviewing multi-tier consolidations and drafting GAAP financial statement footnotes
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Ability to quickly learn new software
- Comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with day to day activities
- Inquisitive, self motivated, and proactive in reaching out across departments to complete tasks
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with diverse teams, auditors, legal counsel, and all levels of management
- Excellent analytical and reasoning abilities with strong attention to detail
- Organized and resourceful

- Our team operates on a hybrid schedule, with in-office schedule of three days per week
Desired Qualifications
- MS in Accounting and/or CPA
- Public accounting experience
- Experience with Workiva (preferred), including report building, template management, or platform administration
- Experience with NetSuite or another comprehensive ERP system
- Relevant industry experience, including solar or other energy
- Ability to take ownership, expand expertise, and advance career
