Senior Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst

Job Summary

Develop and maintain annual budgets, forecasts, and project financial management plans using ERP systems and advanced Excel. Assist with Federal Acquisition Regulation and Cost Accounting Standards compliance while performing cost modeling to forecast projected annual spend. Provide ongoing analytical support to Mission Offices by preparing NASA 533M and 533Q reports, analyzing performance against planned effort, and generating cost estimates for government proposals. Identify automation opportunities for recurring financial processes and partner with IT, HR, and operations teams to integrate data across systems. Develop reports and visualizations to present financial insights to internal and external stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS)
  • Strong proficiency in accounting principles, with the ability to apply them in a government contracting environment
  • Proficient knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and advanced excel skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum of 6 years of practical experience
  • Ability to communicate clearly both in writing and verbally with stakeholders across all levels and functions in the organization
  • Ability to independently organize, analyze, interpret, and evaluate programmatic, staffing, and cost data
  • Candidates must be in our local market to be able to report on-site when needed

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's degree preferred but not required
  • CPA designation is strongly desired
  • Practical knowledge of full CAS applicability, experience supporting FFP and CPFF contracts
  • Experience using Deltek/Costpoint/Cobra, including COGNOS reporting
  • Experience with program management and program cost analysis and/or experience developing/managing indirect rates
  • Experience administering programs for government contracts
  • Experience building and maintaining advanced financial data models and analyses
