Job Summary
Collect, transform, and integrate data from disparate sources using APIs, databases, and enterprise platforms to support decision-making for financial management and IT programs within the Department of Homeland Security. Aggregate, clean, and organize datasets while performing quality assurance, then design integration frameworks and standardization processes to enable interoperability across systems. Manipulate large data sets using SQL, Python, and PySpark to formulate patterns and generate insights through predictive modeling and machine learning. Ensure data governance standards are met, define quality metrics for Databricks, and organize client meetings to deliver services and track action items. Requires a Federal or DoD Public Trust clearance and three years of data experience.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"
- candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse
- Bachelor's degree
- THREE (3) or more years of data experience
- Experience in performing data analytics to address management and operational challenges
- Proficiency in data analytic tools such as SQL, Python, R, and Databricks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, especially MS PowerPoint, MS Word, and MS Excel
- Prior experience with statistical analysis, predictive modelling, machine learning, and artificial intelligence
Desired Qualifications
- Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred
- Collaborating and working in a team environment, as well as the ability to work independently
- Identifying and addressing client needs, building relationships with clients, demonstrating flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks, communicating potential conflicts to a supervisor
- Communicating effectively to various audiences, including various levels of management and external clients, in a professional environment
- Ability to facilitate meetings and present topics to diverse groups of functional and technical staff
- Experience in commercial or public sector consulting firms
- Prior experience supporting federal finance organizations
- Experience with cloud-based platforms and services, including MicrosoftAzure, AWS, or similar cloud environments
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate) and SharePoint
