Job Summary
Senior Financial Data Analyst role in healthcare focusing on building and maintaining reports and analytics to inform financial decisions. Responsibilities include developing and documenting reports, creating dashboards with SQL, Tableau, and RedShift; automating reports with IT; supporting monthly close and claim reserve analyses; producing member economics and medical claims reinsurance reporting; assisting with provider group financial statements and regulatory reporting. Requires 5+ years of relevant experience, strong data analysis and visualization skills (SQL, Tableau, Python, Excel), and a Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare/Finance or equivalent. Location constraints include NY, NJ, or CT with remote work flexibility.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of relevant professional work experience
- Experience working in an actuarial function with a focus on building the claims reserve updating claims triangles and IBNR estimation (preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Finance or relevant field or equivalent years of experience
- Proficiency in MS Excel, SQL, Tableau, Access, Python
- Ability to develop complex data analyses and dashboards
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Experience with healthcare finance and regulatory reporting
