Job Summary
Senior Financial Business Systems Analyst responsible for optimizing city financial processes and Workday system operations. Implements and maintains ERP-related features, analyzes and improves finance department processes, designs and tests system changes, and ensures data integrity across financial operations. Develops reports and queries, conducts user training, troubleshoots business processes and system errors, coordinates with internal/external development teams, and supports system integration and security administration. Prior experience with Workday and ERP technologies, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to communicate complex technical ideas to department leaders and end users. Location is Salt Lake City; role involves occasional travel within the city’s operations and full-time employment with comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business (or Public) Administration, or a similar field plus five years directly related work experience; Education and related work experience may be substituted one-for-one.
- Knowledge of enterprise systems, data management, web base usage, and effective report writing methods; ability to communicate effectively and manage priorities; ability to work collaboratively across levels and functional areas.
