Job Summary
The Sr. Financial Assistant provides financial and human resources support to the College of Engineering Technology, including reconciling payroll, preparing monthly department reconciliations, and supporting financial operations. Responsibilities include tracking spending to align with university priorities, maintaining accurate financial records, conducting financial analyses for special projects with detailed reporting on expenses and budget variances, coordinating procurement activities, ensuring payroll and benefits documentation accuracy, ensuring timely financial reporting and forecasting in collaboration with departments, and supporting compliance with applicable policies. The role requires knowledge of accounting/finance/budgeting practices, enterprise-wide financial applications, and strong communication and confidentiality.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in related field
- 4 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of accounting, finance, and budgeting practices
- Knowledge of enterprise-wide financial applications
- Skill in analyzing financial data and preparing detailed reports
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to maintain organized and confidential financial records
