Job Summary
Lead the acquisition, recording, and reporting of fixed assets, including capitalization, depreciation, month-end accruals, and periodic physical asset counts. Manage lease accounting activities, lease recognition, amortization, and interest expense in compliance with accounting standards. Own financial reporting, recording, and forecasting related to capital assets and capital expenditures. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial records, including month-end entries, reconciliation, and period close. Support month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of financial data. Partner with operational and functional leaders to provide financial insights and support business initiatives. Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analyses to support management decision-making. Assist the Director of Accounting in preparing responses to IA audit report comments and follow up on their completion. Assist in preparation of paperwork for corporate income taxes and complete monthly sales tax return filings. This fully onsite role in Mississauga offers a compensation range of $90,000.
Required Qualifications

- Strong problem-solving skills and fact-based decision-making approach
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with ERP and BI tools is an asset
