Job Summary
Senior Financial Analyst role supporting IFRS-based financial statements, close process, and audits. Responsibilities include preparing monthly journal entries, reconciliations, and working papers; partnering across the organization to ensure accurate financial transactions; supporting internal and external reporting, monthly and annual budgets/forecasts; developing financial models, templates, and ad hoc reporting; data extraction and analysis from data sources using BI tools; driving process improvements in accounting procedures; assisting with audit schedules and coordinating with external auditors; delivering quantitative solutions and presenting operating metrics for Canada stores/regions; analyzing inventory, warehouse costs, and cash forecasting; performing variance analysis and contributing to strategic financial decision-making.
Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary education required. Bachelor’s Degree in business, math, or equivalent preferred.
- 3-5 years relevant work experience
- CPA designation preferred.
- Strong analytical and business process skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Intermediate to advanced level of Excel including; Complex Formulas, Macros,
- Experience with Cognos, Hyperion, MicroStrategy, or another enterprise grade BI software.
- Experience extracting and analyzing data from a data warehouse system.
- Familiarity with an ERP system (e.g. D365 MS Dynamics)
- Ability to manage work flow and multiple requests, while meeting deadlines and managing expectations
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
