Job Summary
Partner with the VP of Finance and operational leaders to support annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-range financial planning. Develop financial models for capital investments, pricing strategies, and strategic initiatives while performing detailed variance and scenario analyses. Provide dedicated financial support to manufacturing operations, specifically the State College, Pennsylvania facility, by analyzing operational KPIs, productivity, and inventory trends. Build and maintain analytical tools that transform complex datasets into meaningful insights for informed decision-making across multiple locations. Prepare executive-ready presentations and automate reporting processes using advanced Excel, Power BI, and ERP capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
- 5-8 years of progressive experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, Operational Finance, or Manufacturing Finance
- Experience within a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated experience developing financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, profitability analysis, capital investment decisions, and strategic initiatives
- Exceptional analytical and financial modelling skills with the ability to transform large, complex datasets into meaningful business insights
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modelling, large dataset manipulation, dynamic formulas, PivotTables, Power Query, and data analysis
- Experience working with ERP systems
- Must meet all CGP & ITAR requirements
Desired Qualifications
- CPA designation or CPA enrollment
- Experience with VBA/macros, Power Pivot, or Power BI
- JD Edwards (JDE) experience
- Working knowledge of percentage-of-completion (cost-to-cost) accounting, revenue recognition (ASC 606), and manufacturing cost accounting
- Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and operational performance analysis
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
- Ability to work with imperfect data, identify inconsistencies, and develop practical analytical solutions while reporting processes continue to mature
- Quarterly travel to our State College, Pennsylvania facility
