Job Summary
Lead OPEX analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance reporting across Sales, Marketing, Services, and Customer Success to identify cost drivers and support informed business decisions. Develop financial models, reporting packages, and dashboards that enhance visibility into operating expenses and forecast accuracy. Collaborate with the Finance Center of Excellence and functional leaders to communicate financial performance, spend drivers, and actionable recommendations. Support month-end and quarter-end close activities, including accrual review and actuals analysis, while streamlining planning processes to improve reporting efficiency and transparency. Operate with strong ownership and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment using advanced Excel, Oracle Cloud, and Hyperion tools. This hybrid role requires three days in the office and reports to offices in San Jose, CA; Raleigh, NC; or Vienna, VA.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years of related experience
- Strong operating expense experience
- Advanced reporting capabilities
- Ability to translate financial results into clear insights
- Lead OPEX analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance reporting
- Identify key cost drivers, trends, risks, and opportunities
- Develop and maintain financial models, reporting packages, and dashboards
- Collaborate and manage daily activities with Finance Center of Excellence and cross functional team resources
- Serve as a trusted finance business partner to functional leaders
- Communicate financial performance, spend drivers, and actionable recommendations to both financial and non-financial stakeholders
- Support month-end and quarter-end close activities
- Include accrual review, actuals analysis, forecast comparisons, and clear explanations of variances versus plan and prior forecasts
- Identify opportunities to streamline planning and reporting processes
- Enhance controls, and improve the efficiency, accuracy, and transparency of OPEX reporting
- Operate with strong ownership, attention to detail, and sound judgment
- Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Apply advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Oracle Cloud, Hyperion, and related planning or reporting tools
