Job Summary
Senior Financial Analyst role focused on supporting day-to-day accounting operations and broader financial initiatives for a Skilled Nursing Facility provider. Responsibilities include month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, general ledger integrity, financial statement analysis (balance sheet and income statement), and providing analytical support to leadership. Emphasizes process improvement, automation, and AI-driven tools to enhance efficiency. In-office position based in Hackensack, NJ, reporting to executive leadership and collaborating with finance, operations, and external auditors. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance, 2-5 years of relevant experience, strong Excel skills, and attention to detail; CPA or CPA candidate preferred and experience with Medicare/Medicaid cost reports a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2-5 years of accounting or financial analysis experience, preferably within SNF, long-term care, or healthcare
- Strong Excel and organizational skills
- Detail-oriented with strong follow-through and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Desired Qualifications
- CPA license or CPA candidate preferred
- Experience with Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement or cost reports a plus
- Familiarity with healthcare accounting systems and ERP platforms
- Interest in process improvement, automation, and AI-driven finance tools
