Job Summary
Develop organizational budgets, forecasts, and long-range plans while preparing Medicare cost reports and facilitating governmental audits. Reconcile month-end revenue and accounts receivable between the Epic billing system and general ledger, validating data and overseeing accounts payable for appropriate expense coding. Collaborate with the Chief Financial Officer and clinical leadership to validate data, support quality initiatives, and develop proformas for new programs. Report monthly statistics and key performance indicators to program leaders and prepare for annual reporting, including IRS filings and utilization reports. Review general ledger analytics for balance sheet and income statement accounts to ensure financial accuracy.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field
- Healthcare finance experience
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and ability to learn and adapt to various reporting tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate and present complex financial data in a way that is understandable to customers
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work both in a team environment and independently
Desired Qualifications
- MBA strongly preferred
- Home Health and Hospice accounting experience
- Experience with StrataJazz, Peoplesoft and Epic
