Senior Financial Analyst - Financial Planning and Analysis

Job Summary

Own the financial planning and analysis for designated product and business portfolios by generating monthly P&L reports, preparing budget versus actual analyses, and delivering performance insights to stakeholders. Present portfolio results, KPIs, and strategic business plan materials to internal and external audiences, including executives and board members. Collaborate with Product, Sales, and Operations teams to gather inputs for business cases, support the monthly forecasting process, and assist with special projects for Private Equity sponsors. Optimize legacy finance deliverables and processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness while supporting the broader FP&A team.

Required Qualifications

  • University degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Professional accounting or finance designation required (ex. CPA, CFA, MFin, MBA)
  • 2-4 years of progressive experience in FP&A (preferred), and/or in Corporate Finance, Audit, or Valuation
  • Experience in advisory (valuation or transaction services) or private equity is considered an asset
  • Experience in contributing to/ co-ordinating materials and presentations for boards or senior stakeholder groups
  • Proficiency in Excel, including financial modelling skills and independently building models required
  • Advanced Proficiency with MS Office, specifically Excel, Word, and Power Point
  • Ability to interpret financial data to understand identify trends, assess commercial impacts, and communicate results with reference to broader corporate strategy
  • Relationship building skills and proven ability to develop strong working relationships across an organization
  • Must be able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
  • Able to demonstrate flexibility; must be able to prioritize or deprioritize tasks based on business needs
  • Understanding of key P&L components and their interdependencies is required, and working knowledge of IFRS is recommended
  • Knowledge of project metrics (i.e. IRR, NPV, etc.) is an asset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills and experience communicating with Executive Leadership
  • A self-starter with strong attention to detail and a focus on meeting deadlines
  • Ability to prioritize, critically analyze, solve and where appropriate, escalate issues
  • Strong decision-making and analytical skills

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in FP&A (preferred)
  • Experience in advisory (valuation or transaction services) or private equity is considered an asset
