Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive financial analysis on budgets, forecasts, and actual performance to develop insights into trends, risks, and opportunities. Lead preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts while presenting detailed variance and trend analysis for management and board meetings. Partner with the Mission Advancement team to ensure grant compliance, prepare financial statements, and monitor restricted funds. Develop financial models to assess business scenarios and perform cost-benefit analyses for program efficiency. Identify opportunities for process improvement in D365 and Solver systems and provide financial guidance to operations, development, and People & Culture teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive financial analysis experience
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and reporting
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and experience with D365, Solver, and Power BI
- Proven ability to analyze large amounts of data and provide actionable insights
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders clearly and concisely
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word/PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)
- Ability to work under tight deadlines
- Ability to learn new technology and software as related to the job
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in person, over the phone, and in writing
- Visual acuity to review detailed financial documents and computer screens
- Ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist movements, such as typing and using a mouse
- Maintain reliable attendance and communicate effectively with diverse audiences
- Problem-solving, organizing, categorizing, and analyzing data
- Strong attention to detail, prioritization, time management, and multi-tasking skills
- Foster an environment of initiative, communication, accountability, and excellence
- Occasionally required to lift and carry files or documents weighing up to 10 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in nonprofit accounting is preferred but not required
