Job Summary
Update Excel models and Access databases while completing cost-of-service studies and designing utility rates. Assist in financial planning and forecasting, provide cost/benefit analyses, and prepare presentations for municipal utilities and electric cooperatives. Deliver expert testimony on behalf of clients and build long-term advisory relationships through active participation in industry groups. This role reports to the Vice President of Financial Services and may direct team activities as appropriate. Candidates must possess 10+ years of utility rate experience, a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, and proficiency in MS Office applications.
Required Qualifications
- 10 plus years of utility and rate experience
- Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or mathematics
- Must be proficient in Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, and other MS Office applications
- Utility experience
- Must be organized and detail oriented
- Must be able to work independently and part of a team
- Must be able to manage time across multiple projects
- Must have a thorough working knowledge of utility rates, cost allocation methodologies, and regulatory accounting procedures
- Must understand the technological, market, and commercial trends driving the current utility industry transformation
- Must build and maintain long-term project and business advisory relationships, including actively participating in industry groups
- 10+ years of rate and/or utility experience
- This position is not remote

Desired Qualifications
- CPA or MBA preferred
