Job Summary
Analyze and interpret complex data sets to generate actionable insights for decision-making across firm departments. Develop regular and ad-hoc reports on key performance metrics while translating financial data into compelling visual narratives through clear charts, dashboards, and graphics. Create polished PowerPoint presentations that communicate complex financial concepts with precision, utilizing resources across BI and Finance teams to manage competing requests. Work cross-functionally with legal, finance, marketing, and HR teams to understand data needs and conceptualize interactive dashboards using BI tools like Tableau. This role reports to the Business Intelligence Manager at a global law firm with offices in Washington D.C., New York, and California.
Required Qualifications
- Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving ability
- Ability to view business issues in perspective
- Follow-up on projects/assignments
- Ability to prioritize and participate in multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills
- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
- 4+ years of related work experience
- Ability to work with large volumes of data
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (i.e., formulas, macros, pivots, data manipulation)
- Advance proficiency in PowerPoint
