Job Summary
Senior Financial Analyst with a regular, full-time role in a hybrid environment. Lead budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting for a complex portfolio within the Financial Planning & Analysis team; develop robust financial plans, costing models, and insights to support decision-making; coach stakeholders and analysts to strengthen financial acumen and drive sustainable cost optimization. Responsibilities include leading budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes; improving data quality and FP&A practices; delivering actionable financial analysis; and partnering with leadership to communicate performance, priorities, risks, and opportunities. Requires CPA designation in good standing or equivalent, 7+ years of experience, advanced Excel/PowerPoint skills, and experience with TM1/SAP/ERP systems; exposure to not-for-profit or health care environments is beneficial. The role involves a hybrid on-site/off-site schedule with at least 40% on-site presence and occasional travel within Canada.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in a similar role
- Canadian CPA accounting designation in good standing or comparable finance or accounting designation in good standing
- Strong knowledge of general accounting principles, financial and managerial accounting
- Advanced experience with Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience in a large not-for-profit or health care organization is beneficial
- Experience with IBM Planning Analytics (TM1), SAP or an equivalent ERP application is beneficial
- Ability to develop deep and nuanced subject matter expertise for assigned business units; excellent at relating operational and financial data and driving business decisions
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered
