Job Summary
Senior Financial Analyst role supporting planning, forecasting, and reporting for a defined scope; build and maintain financial models that support business decisions and scenario analyses; prepare materials for monthly operating reviews and quarterly business reviews; partner with the business to understand drivers of performance and translate findings into actionable insights for leadership; collaborate with the Controller’s organization on close, accruals, and reconciliations to ensure financial data integrity; contribute to process-improvement projects to standardize, simplify, and automate manual work; support special projects, business cases, and ad-hoc analyses as needed. Requires a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Engineering, or related field, and at least 3 years of progressive finance experience with strong modeling and proficiency in BI tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Anaplan, Hyperion, Power BI, Tableau). Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Preferred qualifications include advanced degrees and experience in energy/capital-intensive industries, public company experience, and professional certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive finance experience, including direct FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking, or equity research
- Strong financial modeling skills and a solid grasp of public-company financial concepts
- Experience with forecasting cycles, variance analysis, and management reporting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using enterprise systems and BI tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Anaplan, Hyperion, Power BI, Tableau)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Desired Qualifications
- MBA, CPA, CFA, or CMA (or in progress)
- Experience at a public company
- Experience in energy, power generation, capital equipment, or a capital-intensive hardware business
- Exposure to a function — commercial/sales finance, supply chain or sourcing finance, manufacturing or operations finance, or corporate FP&A and consolidations
