The Opportunity We are recruiting for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our team in our Plymouth, MN location with the Electrophysiology Medical Devices team. In Abbott’s Electrophysiology (EP) business, we’re advancing the treatment of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies in atrial fibrillation, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the new product development team in establishing product cost targets, cost analysis, reporting and for any ad hoc analysis requested from leadership What You’ll Work Provides cost planning, analysis and reporting to management for new product introduction, which likely includes projecting production cost for labor, material and yield, maintaining and updating cost models, partnering with new product development managers to develop, monitor target cost and providing variance analysis. Provides timely and accurate reporting to management leveraging your knowledge of the finance systems and your familiarity with the business operations. Based on reporting and analysis, make recommendations to finance management to save costs, scale for the future and maintain data accuracy. Provides monthly reporting to finance department leadership relating to new product introduction financial impact. Serves as finance subject expert for new product costing and leads special projects as assigned by finance management Execute reporting based on pre-established schedules for monthly and quarterly reporting. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business or related field 4+ years of experience performing month-end close activities, financial and variance analysis, and/or forecasting in a manufacturing environment Proficient with MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint and Word) Demonstrated experience working with financial system applications Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications MBA, CPA or CMA preferred Working knowledge of Hyperion Essbase and/or SAP Ability to work effectively and with flexibility under uncertainty and changing priorities. Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business or related field
  • 4+ years of experience performing month-end close activities, financial and variance analysis, and/or forecasting in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
  • Demonstrated experience working with financial system applications
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
