Job Summary
Senior Financial Analyst for a 22-month contract based at Mazda Canada in Richmond Hill, reporting to the National Manager, Accounting and Internal Control. The role supports core accounting functions, treasury operations, audit coordination, and cross-functional business initiatives. Responsibilities include month-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, financial reporting, variance analysis for leadership, management of sales incentive and residual value accounting, consolidation packages, cash flow modeling, banking reviews and cash reporting, coordination of internal/external audits, and compliance programs (Customs, Sales Tax, etc.), with an emphasis on process improvements and finance transformation. The ideal candidate has a post-secondary degree in Finance/Accounting, 5+ years in finance/accounting (automotive experience asset), and proficiency with Excel and SAP, along with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in finance or accounting
- Knowledge of Canadian Customs Regulations, Sales Tax, Excise Tax and environmental programs
- Experience coordinating with internal and external auditors
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Advanced Excel, SAP proficiency
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic environment
