Job Summary
Provide personalized financial aid counseling to students on all aspects of financial aid programs from federal, state, university, and private sources; analyze and verify eligibility and award financial aid; monitor student eligibility and process aid award adjustments for enrollment changes; interact with external agencies to facilitate compliant advisement, eligibility and awarding; process disbursement transmittal and student notifications for federal and private loans as well as institutional scholarships; conduct financial literacy and default prevention activities; maintain knowledge of regulatory requirements and campus policies and communicate them effectively; complete daily data import processing and routine financial aid reporting; contribute to departmental compliance with applicable laws and university policies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, communication, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum four years’ experience in student financial aid, higher education administration, lending/finance, or related field
- Experience with federal student loan administration, scholarship administration, and borrower counseling strongly preferred
