Senior Financial Accountant

Job Summary
Oversee the company's overall financial operations, managing full-cycle accounting including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, month-end and year-end closing, and financial reporting. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and applicable laws while coordinating internal and external audits. Develop internal controls to mitigate risks and prepare financial statements, management reports, budgets, and forecasts to support decision-making. Monitor cash flow, cost control, and financial performance to improve operational efficiency. Liaise with external stakeholders including auditors, tax authorities, and financial institutions. Based in Amsterdam, this role requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with at least five years of relevant experience and proficiency in accounting software and Excel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting or finance experience
- Management experience
- Strong knowledge of full-cycle accounting
- Ability to independently manage the complete accounting process
- Solid understanding of financial regulations
- Understanding of statutory audits
- Understanding of legal compliance
- Understanding of corporate governance
- Familiarity with tax compliance
- Familiarity with financial reporting
- Familiarity with budgeting
- Familiarity with internal control systems
- Proficiency in accounting software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
