Job Summary
Operate and oversee GL activities for legal entities by managing complex accounting, coordinating local and US GAAP entries, and preparing journal entries with statutory adjustments. Conduct monthly reconciliations on key accounts, manage non-recurring journals with proper approvals, and support internal and external audits. Drive the implementation of automated accounting tools and provide recommendations for simplification projects while solving specific accounting issues. This role requires a BA/BSc in Economics or Finance with 3+ years of experience, fluency in English and Hungarian, and strong ERP and Excel skills. Located in Budapest with a hybrid schedule of 3-4 days in-office, the position offers an annual performance bonus, health insurance, and access to LinkedIn Learning. Required Qualifications
- Economics or Finance & Accounting BA/BSc degree
- 3+ years finance and accounting experience
- Experience in managing GL accounting and related SOX control
- Fluency in English & Hungarian (both written and verbal)
- Confident usage of ERP systems
- Excel skills
- General IT literacy
- Outstanding attention to detail
