Senior Finance Systems Specialist

Job Summary
Own the reliability and day-to-day operation of SAP S4 HANA and connected Finance systems, including month-end close and real-time reporting. Lead implementations of new modules, integrations, and enhancements from requirements through configuration, testing, training, and stabilization. Monitor and troubleshoot system, data, and connectivity issues, coordinating escalations with internal Tech teams and external vendors. Identify opportunities to simplify and automate Finance workflows using AI to improve efficiency and accuracy. Manage system access, roles, permissions, master data structures, and governance to support secure, audit-ready processes. Partner with Finance, Tech, Data, business users, and vendors to align on reporting integrity and system scalability. Make configuration, operational, roadmap, and governance decisions to drive scalable financial operations.
Required Qualifications
- at least 5 years of experience in finance systems or a related field
- hands-on experience with ERP or Finance systems, including SAP S4 HANA, master data, controls, and integrations
- understanding of end-to-end financial process flows and how Finance systems and data platforms work together to support accurate, controlled, scalable reporting
- experience leading cross-functional systems projects or implementations from requirements gathering through testing, rollout, and stabilization
- ability to translate Finance requirements into clear system needs and coordinate effectively across Finance, Tech/Data, business users, and external vendors
- ability to diagnose complex system, data, and integration issues and drive them to resolution with the right stakeholders
- ability to use AI regularly and intentionally where it improves quality, output, experience, or decisions, while critically checking outputs and retaining accountability for AI-assisted work
- ability to work independently, know when to involve others, and are comfortable operating through change and ambiguity
