Job Summary
Senior Finance Systems Engineer - Revenue at Canva, focused on managing the revenue system landscape (Zuora and related integrations) to support revenue reporting and compliance in a fast-growing environment. Responsibilities include understanding end-to-end revenue system landscape, triaging changes, overseeing system and process improvement projects across Revenue Platform Engineering and Finance Data teams, monitoring controls (SOX & ITGC) and audits, conducting root cause investigations, optimizing system performance, and maintaining documentation. Requires hands-on experience with Zuora or equivalent platforms, experience with revenue integrations, SQL proficiency, and strong knowledge of revenue recognition principles (IFRS 15 / ASC 606). The role operates in a hybrid arrangement in the San Francisco Bay Area with flexibility in how and where you work. Bonus emphasis on collaboration with senior team members and ability to translate finance requirements into technical solutions. Required Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in financial systems management with a focus on Billing and Revenue systems
- Hands-on experience with Zuora or equivalent revenue and billing platforms (e.g. SAP, NetSuite, Salesforce Billing, Chargebee)
- Experience implementing integrations with third-party systems and tools
- Experience providing system administration and support, including troubleshooting and performance optimization
- Familiarity with adjacent Finance systems (Collections, sales compensation, general ledger)
- Proficiency in SQL scripts and data analysis
- Solid knowledge of revenue recognition principles (IFRS 15 / ASC 606)
