Job Summary
Senior Finance Officer to act as 2iC for the Financial Controller, assist with board reports and long-term forecasting, provide high-level backup on tax compliance and statutory reporting, lead month-end GL closing and accruals, perform deep-dive financial analysis for cost-saving opportunities, monitor cash flow and liquidity, and support budgeting and internal controls. Roles based in Redfern, NSW, Australia with hybrid remote flexibility; permanent or 12-month fixed-term full-time. Requires experience with SAP/ERP systems and strong Excel modelling; strong organizational and communication skills; able to work independently and as part of a team.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in accounting is desirable
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in a similar role
- Experience with GRANT is advantageous
- Experience in SAP or any other ERP
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PPT)
- Personal attributes/Interpersonal skills: Organized, detail oriented and self-motivated; Excellent communication skills; Ability to work independently and as part of a team; Positive and can-do attitude
