Senior Finance Officer - Fiji Program Support Platform

Job Summary
Prepare and process national staff salary payments, verify supporting documentation for cheques and ANZ transactive banking, and review travel advances and reimbursements against acquittals. Coordinate banking documentation with ANZ, ensure accurate Chart of Account updates in NetSuite, and compile weekly Fund Requests to Head Office. Perform bank reconciliations, report preparation, and statutory submissions for income tax, FNPF, and provisional tax. Oversee VAT claims and report all risks or suspected fraud to maintain confidentiality in payroll data. Deliver financial activities on time per DFAT and Abt guidelines while supporting the Platform Manager Unit and sector programs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, commerce
- Specific accounting subjects
- Significant demonstrated minimum of three years+ experience in a broad range of finance duties
- Experience in accounting
- Experience in tax
- Experience in FNPF
- Experience in VAT
- Experience in general office administration
- Experience in project-based accounting
- Experience in project-based finance
- General knowledge of accounting procedures
- Understanding of Government of Fiji (GoF) financial regulations
